From Old Oakville to the newer subdivisions
Old Oakville and Bronte have older houses, and some of them have single-car or detached garages. Further north, in Glen Abbey, River Oaks, West Oak Trails and Joshua Creek, most homes have an attached double garage with the door and opener the builder put in.
Whatever the age of the house, the springs do the heavy lifting. When a torsion spring snaps, the door won’t lift and the opener can’t do it for you. Leave the door where it is and call. With the spring gone, the door is much heavier than it looks.
Repairs we handle in Oakville
Broken springs, frayed or snapped cables, doors off their tracks, and openers that reverse before the door shuts: we repair all of these. We also fix Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Genie openers. Our residential garage door repair page covers what a visit includes.
If the door fails at night or on a weekend, call anyway. We take calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
New garage doors for Oakville homes
A new door should suit the house. Carriage-style doors fit many of the older and traditional homes south of the QEW, and a flush steel or aluminum and glass door fits a modern build. We install insulated steel, carriage-style, and aluminum and glass doors from Steel-Craft, Amarr and Hörmann.
Estimates are free. See residential garage doors for styles, or try a new door on a photo of your house with the garage door designer.
Commercial doors in Oakville
For shops, warehouses and plants along the QEW and Highway 403, we install and repair sectional overhead doors, rolling steel doors and loading dock doors. We can also set up maintenance visits for doors that cycle all day. Same-day repair is available for commercial doors. See commercial garage door repair.

Questions from Oakville homeowners
Do you cover all of Oakville?
Yes. That includes Bronte, Old Oakville, Glen Abbey, River Oaks, Joshua Creek, West Oak Trails and the newer neighbourhoods north of Dundas Street.
My door is stuck partway. What should I do?
Leave it. A door stuck partway usually means a broken spring, a snapped cable or a roller out of its track. Unplug the opener, keep people and cars clear, and call us. Pulling the emergency release on a door with a broken spring can let it drop.
Can you replace just the opener?
Yes. If the door itself is in good shape, we can change the opener on its own. We install LiftMaster openers with Wi-Fi, so you can open and check the door from your phone.
