Georgetown, Acton and the hamlets in between
Halton Hills is two towns and a lot of countryside. Most homes are in Georgetown and Acton, which Highway 7 connects, and the rest are spread through communities like Glen Williams, Norval, Limehouse and Terra Cotta. We work across all of it.
In Georgetown that means everything from older houses near downtown with single or detached garages to newer subdivisions with attached double garages. On rural lots we also work on detached garages and shop buildings with taller doors.
Spring and cable repairs
A broken torsion spring is one of the most common reasons a garage door won’t open. You’ll often hear a loud bang from the garage, then the opener strains and the door stays put. Don’t try to lift it by hand. The spring carries most of the door’s weight, and without it the door is heavy and can drop.
We replace torsion and extension springs and the lift cables that go with them. See residential garage door repair for what a visit includes.
Openers and new doors
We repair Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Genie openers, and install new LiftMaster openers with Wi-Fi. If the door itself is worn out, we install insulated steel, carriage-style, and aluminum and glass doors from Steel-Craft, Amarr and Hörmann. Estimates are free. See residential garage doors.
Shops and commercial buildings
For businesses in Georgetown and Acton, and in the employment lands near Highway 401 and Steeles Avenue, we install and repair sectional overhead doors, rolling steel doors and loading dock doors. Same-day repair is available for commercial doors. See commercial garage door repair.

Questions from Halton Hills homeowners
Do you come out to Acton and the rural areas?
Yes. We cover all of Halton Hills, including Acton, Glen Williams, Norval, Limehouse, Terra Cotta and Ballinafad.
My spring broke. Can I still open the door?
Leave it closed if you can. Opening a door with a broken spring, by hand or with the opener, can damage the opener and is a real injury risk. If your car is stuck inside, tell us when you call.
Should I replace both springs if only one broke?
On a door with two springs, it’s usually worth it. Springs installed together wear at about the same rate, so the other one is often close to failing too.
