Newer homes and the doors that came with them
Much of Brampton was built over the last thirty years, in areas like Springdale, Castlemore, Fletcher’s Meadow and Mount Pleasant. Most of those houses have an attached double garage with the door and opener the builder put in. Builder-grade doors often run on a single torsion spring, and when it breaks, the door won’t lift and the opener can’t help. If yours has snapped, leave the door down and call. With the spring gone, the door is far heavier than it looks.
The other common problems on these doors are cables that fray or slip off the drum, openers that reverse before the door closes, and worn rollers that make the door grind on the way up. Our residential garage door repair page covers what a visit includes.
Replacing a builder-grade door
If you’re replacing the original door, an insulated steel door makes the garage warmer and quieter, which matters if there’s a bedroom over it. We install steel, carriage-style, and aluminum and glass doors from Steel-Craft, Amarr and Hörmann, and LiftMaster openers with Wi-Fi, so you can check the door from your phone. We measure first, and you get a written quote before anything is ordered. See residential garage doors for styles.
Warehouses and loading docks
Brampton has a lot of warehouse and distribution space, much of it along Highway 410 and Airport Road. We install and repair sectional overhead doors, rolling steel doors, dock levelers and dock seals. For doors that cycle all day, we can set up a maintenance schedule so springs and cables get replaced before they fail mid-shift. See loading dock doors.

Brampton borders Mississauga, so it’s one of the closest areas we cover. Call (905) 257-7211, tell us what the door is doing and your address, and we’ll tell you when a technician can come. You get the price before any work starts.
Questions from Brampton homeowners
Can you fix a door that’s stuck halfway?
Usually, yes. A door stuck partway is often a snapped cable, a roller out of the track or a broken spring. Don’t force it up or down, and don’t pull the opener’s emergency release. With a broken spring or cable, the door can drop. Unplug the opener and call us.
Should I replace the opener when I replace the door?
Not always. If your opener is a few years old and runs quietly, it can usually stay. If it’s loud, has no battery backup or the safety sensors keep acting up, replacing both at once saves a second visit.
Do you work on commercial doors in Brampton?
Yes. We repair and install sectional, rolling steel and loading dock doors for warehouses and shops, including after-hours calls when a dock door won’t close at the end of a shift.
