Note: The glazing material (Thermoclear®) used is ideal for humid environments, however it differs from glass in that it’s not sealed, therefore condensation may form in the cellular walls when interior/exterior temperatures are such that dew point temperatures are created (usually in periods of cooler weather). This condensation usually disappears when warmer weather returns.

Specifications Door Sections: Constructed from 45mm (1-3/4″) thick 6063-T5 aluminum alloy. Frame: Top, bottom rail, and stiles feature a 1.8mm thickness (3mm at fastener points) with various heights for optimal strength. Intermediate stiles are 60mm (2-3/8″) wide, with end stiles 100mm (3-15/16″) wide. Glazing: Supports aluminum panels, single, and sealed glazing up to 16mm (5/8″). Options include glass, acrylic, and polycarbonate. All glazing is set on rubber blocks for impact absorption and sealed with a rigid PVC snap-in molding.

Hardware Track: Z275 galvanized steel in 50mm or 75mm, reinforced and adjustable for stability. Door Face Hardware: Heavy-duty, galvanized steel hinges and rollers with ball bearings for smooth operation. Strutting: Required for doors 4000mm and wider, utilizing 44mm deep aluminum alloy struts. Counterbalance System: Torsion springs rated for 10,000 cycles, with aircraft-grade lift cables for reliability. Locking: Interior slide lock for padlocking.

Weatherstripping Bottom: U-type arctic-grade vinyl for a tight seal. Section Interface and Jamb: Arctic-grade vinyl bubble shape for optimal insulation. Header: Aluminum with dual flexible vinyl points for effective weather protection.

Operation Standard manual operation, with optional hand chain hoist (3:1 ratio) or electric operator recommended for doors over 12’0″ high.
