Note: The glazing material (Thermoclear®) used is ideal for humid environments, however it differs from glass in that it’s not sealed, therefore condensation may form in the cellular walls when interior/exterior temperatures are such that dew point temperatures are created (usually in periods of cooler weather). This condensation usually disappears when warmer weather returns.

Door Sections
Constructed from high-grade 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, each section of the door measures 45mm (1-3/4″) in thickness, ensuring durability and lightweight performance.
Frame
- Material thickness ranges from 1.8mm (0.071″) to 2.5mm (0.100″) for the top rail, bottom rail, and end stile, with reinforced thickness (3.2mm or 1/8″) at fastener points.
- End stile widths are 76mm (3″) on the interior and 53mm (2-3/32″) on the exterior.
- The combined height of top and bottom rails is 87mm (3-7/16″), with a built-in 38mm (1-1/2″) aluminum strut for structural integrity.
Finish
- Anodizing meets AAMA 611, 607, and 608 standards.
- Special-order painted finishes adhere to AAMA 2603 standards for long-lasting color.
Polycarbonate Insert Panel
- Utilizes a Lexan® Thermoclear® triple-wall 16mm panel, offering an R-value of 2.38 and U-value of 0.42.
- Available in clear, bronze, blue, red, and green tints for customized aesthetics.
Hardware
- Track: Options of 50mm (2″) or 75mm (3″) Z275 galvanized steel with vertical track adjustments and reinforced horizontal track for door stability.
- Door Face Hardware: Heavy-duty, Z275 galvanized steel hinges and rollers with 10-grade 500 ball bearings for smooth operation.
- Strutting: Integral 38mm (1-1/2″) deep strut on each top rail for added support.
- Counterbalance System: Equipped with ASTMA229 torsion springs rated for 10,000 cycles, with durable lift cables featuring a safety factor of 5:1.
- Locking: Interior-mounted slide lock compatible with padlocking for added security.
Weatherstripping
- Bottom Weatherstrip: U-shaped arctic-grade vinyl for a tight seal.
- Section Interface and Jamb Weatherstrip: Arctic-grade vinyl with a bubble shape, secured in an integral retainer.
- Header Mounted Weatherstrip: Aluminum weatherstrip with dual flexible vinyl points for effective insulation.
Operation
Standard manual operation, with optional hand chain hoist (3:1 ratio) or electric operator for convenience.
